The Civil Rights Data Collection for K-12 public schools is a free online resource for parents, teachers and others who want to know more about the civil rights and equity conditions at individual school and district levels, including enrollment, expenditures, teacher qualifications, access to college-prep and AP courses, participation in athletics and gifted programs, school climate and discipline, sexual harassment and bullying, and more – and is cross-tabulated by race, gender, disability and other categories.

Anyone interested in students’ civil rights should know how to use this resource to identify potentially discriminatory practices, as well as exemplary schools and districts.
